The food was outstanding! So delicious and I was just shocked with how much flavor was packed in every bite. Will definitely eat here again!

Tried this place for the first time and it was very good. I got the mixed kebabs w/chicken, lamb kefta with a greek salad. The meat was nice and juicy and hot. Salad tasted fresh. Thumb up. I will be returning. Hummus was phenomenal. They gave me some lentil soup which was a nice surprise.

All the food here is so great. We got the lentil soup, beef and chicken shawarma, and a mixed kebab plate (chicken and lamb). The lamb has SO MUCH depth and flavor to it while having a great texture of not being too dry.

Food is great - highly recommend. Great value. Friendly staff and quick service. Will be coming back

Super friendly and welcoming staff. You can choose to dine in or takeout-- I chose to dine in. The dining area is clean and very spacious. Easy to read menu for people who are unfamiliar with Mediterranean food. You start off with a small cup of lentils while waiting for your order and finish off your meal with a hot cup of tea! The food itself was very good. Full of flavor and fresh. It's a great place to stop in for some quick lunch or dinner.

Our new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Louisville! It was so delicious! Portions are generous - enough for leftovers. High quality, excellent food at a great price. Perfect to dine in or carry out! There was not a single dish we didn't love. Try the vegetable plate for an appetizer for a good sampling. My husband had the Kefta Kebab and I had the lamb kebab - both of which were fabulous and perfectly prepared. Entrees are served with grilled veggies, rice, hummus and salad - a great meal. The baklava is amazing as well! We will be back soon!

Incredibly friendly staff! I arrived to pick up my to go order before it was ready and was given a sample of their lentil soup while I waited. The soup was flavorful and comforting. Will definitely be ordering some next time! I saw the seating area which seemed like the perfect place for a casual meal! We got the mixed kebab entree and the chicken shawarma sandwich. Both were awesome!! My husband said it's the best Mediterranean food in Louisville and I agree! Can not wait to return!!!

We ordered for pick up so I cannot speak too much on service or ambiance. What I did see while waiting on my meal was that the hostess was quick to greet guests (it was quite busy too). We ordered the Kebab House special. It was enough to feed the two of us and we got to try a mix of items. They could give a bit more vegetables. We got maybe a quarter of grilled onions and a couple pieces of other veggies. The majority of the tray was rice, a lot of filler. Food was tasty -- I didn't care for the stuffed grape leaves. This is more of a personal preference as I prefer meat in the stuffed grape leaves. Don't let this deter you from trying them. I definitely want to try dining in sometime.

When I heard that the original owners of Falafel House opened in a new location in the Highlands, it shot to the top of my list of must-try restaurants. For years, I frequented the old location. It's reminiscent of old friends, first dates, and a whole different era of my life. When I moved from Frankfort Avenue to Schnitzelburg, I thought, "I'll still be the same distance from Falafel House." It gave me an odd sense of security. It felt like home. When I heard they were closing, I think I actually cried. I might take my food a bit too seriously, but I can't recall being more devastated over any business closing since Doll's Market closed more than a decade ago. I have a lot of menu to explore, but my first order was an easy one. Maybe I should've put a banana next to my picture for scale, but the Special Kebab House entree will feed your whole family. Special Kebab House- one of each kebab, chicken, kefta, lamb and chicken shawarma and four falafel, four grape leaves, grilled vegetables, hummus, rice, and Greek salad. I can't put my finger on exactly why Kebab House tastes better than every other Mediterranean restaurant I've ever been to. No, I haven't been to all of them and of course my opinion is subjective. We can't all have good taste, right? But for me, they do what they do exactly right. Is there cinnamon in that rice? I couldn't tell you, honestly. Maybe it's the taste of nostalgia.
